Michelle Groff, MA, LPC Intern

Michelle Groff specializes in helping those struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety-related disorders, emotional issues from past traumatic experiences, and parents seeking help with parenting issues. She is trained in many effective techniques for treating OCD and anxiety disorders such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Habit Reversal Training, Stimulus Control, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention.

Michelle received her BA from Texas Christian University and her Masters in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. She is a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies and the International OCD Foundation. Michelle is also a co-founder of Parenting by Design with her husband, Chris, and Lee Long. In addition to being a contributor to the Parenting by Design curriculum, she is frequent speaker on parenting issues in churches and schools.

Michelle’s goal is to provide a safe and warm environment for exploring difficult issues. Her counseling is offered from a Christian worldview, but is not limited to faith-based therapy. Michelle is the co-author of two upcoming books – a 90-day devotional, Parenting by Design: Day by Day and Parenting by Design: Discovering God’s Original Plan for Your Family.
