Personal Experience & Biography

Claire received a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Design from Texas Tech University and graduated with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. In addition, she is currently obtaining a second Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a certified facilitator of Prepare/Enrich for premarital and marital couples.

Claire gained experience working with families and individuals going through the difficult processes of various cancer treatments and resulting life transitions while in graduate school. She also has been actively involved in the therapeutic process alongside women and children who have suffered domestic violence and the traumatic experience of varied abuse. Claire has worked as a volunteer with CASA, and advocated for children in the foster system.

At Restoration, Claire provides individual, couples, adolescent, and family counseling for a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, marital conflict, boundaries, low self-esteem, grief, and spiritual struggles. She believes in the practice of DBT and obtaining the life skills that allow for self-acceptance, value, and change. She has found strength and peace in her faith as she continually grows and develops in her walk with Christ. Her goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental relationship along with a future of hope so clients can experience true joy and freedom.
