Personal Experience & Biography

Don brings forty years experience as a marriage and family therapist working with individuals, couples and families. He takes a family systems approach believing an authentic relationship is the key to healing. His range of experiences include launching counseling centers and leading graduate counseling programs in Dallas, Atlanta and Oklahoma City.

Don is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and supervisor in the state of Texas. He is a Clinical Fellow in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He holds a doctorate in Adult Education with master’s degrees in Marriage, Family Therapy and Communications.

Dr. Hebbard is Professor of Counseling at Amberton University where he established the first master’s program in counseling in the DFW area. He has served on the faculty of several universities including Abilene Christian University, Oklahoma Christian University and Harding Graduate School of Religion.

Don speaks nationally on marriage, relationships, transition management and leadership. He consults with churches and organizations experiencing organizational transitions.
