Lauren has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. Lauren provides individual counseling and EMDR. Lauren has worked in the helping field for almost 15 years in a variety of capacities. She operates from a Christian worldview and integrates in evidenced-based therapeutic practices. She has been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

She spent the beginning of her career on a mobile crisis outreach team and as intensive case manager walking alongside individuals struggling with chronic mental health and addiction issues. She has had the privilege of working with people at very difficult places in their life. During graduate school she counseled children and adolescents at a foster home and saw male and female inmates at a local jail. Lauren specializes in working with teens and adults who have experienced trauma, struggled with addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, have a loved one struggling with addiction, or other issues that interfere with the ability to enjoy daily life.

Lauren believes that one of the most important things we have to offer is relationship. She seeks to help clients understand their value and restore their relationship with self and others. Her goal as therapist is to meet the client where they are and walk alongside them on their journey of healing.
